Drudge Smearing and PABAAH silliness
Matt Drudge, in his continuing campaign to present every negative bit of gossip he can about John Kerry, is now reporting that in an upcoming book by a group of bitter Swift Boat veterans will claim that John Kerry re-enacted scenes of battle for "political" purposes.
Here's what is being said: John Kerry purchased a Super-8mm camera to take with him to record his "exploits" in battle. If he was unable to capture a moment on film, the Swift Boat veterans are alleging Kerry would return to the scene to "re-enact" the battle.
Why is this tidbit of information surfacing now? Well, obviously to discredit John Kerry, but if the Swift Boat veterans knew about this, how come no one mentioned it when Kerry first ran for the Senate? Or at any point prior to now? What about the men that served with Kerry in Vietnam? Surely they would corroborate the claims that Kerry re-enacted combat action.
Like most Drudge exclusives, this one reeks of bullshit. We'll see if the people that served with Kerry confirm or deny the charge.
Jon Alvarez is a Big Baby
I continue to hear from folks that they get kicked off of the PABAAH web site if they post anything in the message forums that hint at the poster being liberal. Not only does Alvarez ban the message board account of the user, but he records their IP address and, when any attempt is made to access the site, the person is redirected, usually to this web site.
It's kind of pathetic. Alvarez wants to spread his lies and propaganda with no dissent. Which obviously is his right, but he should still allow people to access the web site. I know there are many people out there that do not like me or my web site, but I'm not going to prevent them from coming here by blocking their IP address. That's just childish.
If you do manage to access PABAAH.com (it will not work if you try to get there from my site) you'll see that the boycott list has what seems to be millions of entries. Virtually every single celebrity that has disagreed with Bush Administration policies. Hell, Alvarez even has Tom Clancy on the list, a man who is very popular with the U.S. military. Apparently Clancy was critical of the war in Iraq, and on to the boycott list he went. The only criteria seems to be someone who has ever said anything either against Bush policy or in favor of, say, the United Nations.
PABAAH is perhaps one of the most anti-American groups operating today. They're more akin to individuals in Nazi Germany who were ready to turn over anyone they knew to be Jewish or suspected to be Jewish to the police.
Alvarez is now suggesting a boycott of Heinz products, because of John Kerry's wife, Teresa Heinz.
You'd think there would be some rhyme or reason to a boycott, at least a concentrated focus to rally the troops.
Alvarez claims that liberals hate America. We don't. But Jon Alvarez does.
